The ROHR-IDRECO suction dredge portfolio is very extensive, ranging from fully electric and future proof diesel-electric,
but also traditional diesel models for its HAWK line-up. Dredging excavation is done using water jets in free-flowing materials,
or with a cutterhead or bucketwheel in more difficult applications. All models are equipped with the proprietary IDRECO iPump® dredge pumps and customized with numerous options, including various levels of iDredge® automation and visualization.
The dredges are built in Europe and the US. They are designed to be strategically disassembled for ease of transportation
worldwide. Our suction dredge portfolio consists of three types of dredgers.
Low carbon footprint
The ROHR-IDRECO jet suction dredgers are electric driven (diesel/diesel-electric drives are optional). This ensures the highest efficiency and the lowest possible energy consumption.

Highest efficiency
Our advanced automation and monitoring software, developed in-house, ensures the highest efficiency and the lowest possible energy consumption.

DRAGA Jet Suction Dredger series
The DRAGA, EAGLE, GRAFA and HYDRA range of jet suction dredges are the ultimate solution for all-electric, high
efficiency dredge-excavation including extraordinary depths. These machines are equipped with IDRECO’s iPump ranging from 250 mm / 10 inches to 800 mm / 31 inches and can reach depths ranging from 10 to 55 meters / 33 feet to 180 feet.
ROHR-IDRECO’s custom designs can dig even deeper. Capacity ranges from 1000 to 7000 m3/h / 1,300 to 9,200 yd3/h, or more
for custom-builds.
These dredges are used in mining sites, tailings ponds, and hydro dams worldwide. ROHR-IDRECO jet suction dredges have set new standards in automation, visualization, and remote control, to ensure the lowest possible Total Cost of Ownership.

FALCON Cutter Suction Dredger series
The FALCON series cutter suction dredges (CSD) are equipped with either a 20-inch / 500 mm or 26-inch / 650 mm pump, with a standard max dredging depth of 82 feet / 25 meters, or customized to even greater depths. The dredges are electrically driven, including the underwater pump, cutter head and all winches. An optional diesel generator power unit can be installed onboard when there is no access to the electrical grid. By completely taking out the mechanical and hydraulic drive systems, energy efficiency and maintenance is significantly optimized – even when the dredges are running on the diesel generators. Through a dual mode – linking the dredge to the electrical grid when possible and running on diesel when not – the dredges can be put to work on traditional contract dredging projects, as well as on projects in sensitive or urban settings where zero emission operations are required. Eventually the diesel generator power units can be replaceable by hydrogen-based power systems, fuel cells, or other alternative energy sources.
These dredges come with an electric drive close blade cutter head to reduce spill and turbidity, or customized bucketwheels for mining operations.
